A walking tour through the narrow streets and waterways of Rasiglia in Foligno.
In keeping with this year’s theme, Geographies of the Contemporary, our walk will transform the village of Rasiglia into an open-air museum: a leisurely journey to explore one of the true ‘Rare Lands’ – and I am not referring to the mineral resources at the heart of global conflicts, but to one of the precious historic villages that dot our country: a place small in size but extraordinary in terms of history, identity and vision of sustainability.
It is a village that once again welcomes you for an artistic experience to be savoured step by step, with a walking route through the heart of Umbria, through a small yet magnificent treasure trove of memory and sustainability – a journey of art spread out in stages, amidst the sounds of water and views of the landscape, reviving the event previously held during the 18th and 20th editions.To mark the Twenty-Second Giornata del Contemporaneo, organised by AMACI, I have devised a wide-ranging event that will involve the hamlet of Rasiglia in Foligno, in the heart of Umbria.
This year’s AMACI theme, ‘Contemporary Geographies’, is the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on a truly ‘rare land’.
We are not referring to the mineral resources at the centre of global conflicts, but to one of the precious historic villages that dot our country – a place small in size but extraordinary in terms of its history, identity and vision of sustainability.
Having already hosted the 18th and 20th editions of the event in this splendid setting, Rasiglia looks forward to welcoming you for a new and immersive artistic experience.
