Memorie Meccaniche

Memorie Meccaniche stems from a project which connects long-established and local businesses to safeguard and promote the heritage associated with the historic kilns of Cambiano and Pianalto, restoring the memory of their industrial past to the community and the local territory.
Central to the project is the creation of a permanent exhibition housing the machinery donated by the Fornace Mosso in Santena, following its permanent closure, currently housed in the T2D premises, between the Ecomuseum and the industrial zone.
This donation offers the opportunity to showcase an industrial heritage that has shaped the history of Pianalto, but which was at risk of being lost.
Memorie Meccaniche aims to create a space for rediscovery but also for reflection on technological, environmental, and social innovation within the context of brick production.
Complementing the kiln machinery, the photographic exhibition and videos offer insights, stories, and history – including technological history – of the working kiln, the nature reserve, and the Ecomuseum in Cambiano.
The new exhibition will be inaugurated on October 10, 2026, at 5:30 PM and will be part of the ecomuseum’s visitor route. The new space
