On the occasion of the twenty-second edition of the Giornata del Contemporaneo, the Galleria d’Arte Moderna Achille Forti takes part with free admission throughout the day and offers free guided tours, at 11 am and 3 pm, linked to the theme chosen for the initiative: “Geographies of the Contemporary”.
The theme of the 2026 edition invites us to look at the present as a space in constant transformation, in which physical, social and cultural geographies are dynamic constructions, shaped by relationships, movements and processes of redefinition. From this perspective, places are not immutable realities but fields of relationship, in which boundaries and meanings are constantly redefined.
It is precisely from this idea of geography as an open, relational and evolving space that the tours offered by the Gallery take shape, centred on the exhibition “CONTEMPORANEO NON-STOP. Il respiro della natura | TERRA”.
The tours on Saturday 10 October become an opportunity to move through the exhibition, focusing on the ways in which contemporary artists build, interpret and reinvent their relationship with the world. The works become points of access to possible geographies, in which the boundary between real and virtual, natural and artificial, matter and image grows ever more permeable.
A journey through territories in transformation, possible worlds, imagined landscapes and virtual geographies, where earth becomes origin, matter and memory and, at the same time, a space to be reinvented.
