“Nomadic Like Poetry” – exhibition

On the occasion of the tenth edition of Similitudini Festival, Rebecca M. Garofalo and Stefania Vitelli were invited to spend several days in Jesi to develop an original project around the theme “Nomadic Like Poetry”. The residency became a space for encounters between poetry, graphic art and printmaking, a time for research and experimentation in which words and images could intersect, influence one another and transform. Part of the project took place at the Museum of Printing of Jesi, bringing the artists’ work into dialogue with the town’s places, materials and typographic tradition. This exhibition brings together the outcomes and traces of this experience: works, words and images born from a shared journey. Because poetry is nomadic when it crosses languages and places, moves, encounters, and changes form. And each time, it puts down new roots.
