MAD: Invisible Geography in Motion

Established in 2022, this *Domus* was created by the artist Daniela Madeddu—known as MAD. Born in Turin to a Lucanian mother and a Sardinian father, Mad navigates the landscape of contemporary life in search of roots through artistic exchange, welcoming artists and travelers into her *Domus*. Mad Art Gallery is a contemporary art space located in the Sassi di Matera, dedicated to exhibitions, workshops, artistic craftsmanship, and creative experimentation—a meeting point connecting the local area, culture, and artists from Italy and abroad. The hypogeum preserves memories of a community built on exchange; for Contemporary Art Day, the STUDIO will be OPEN as a space for meeting, experimentation, and participation, where art becomes a tool for interpreting the territory and constructing new narratives.
