Interweaving Relationships – Art, Threads and Community is an exhibition and participatory project that brings contemporary art, textile practices and the social dimension into dialogue, conceiving of relationship not merely as a theme, but as the very material of the artistic process.

Taking place in Vicolungo from 10 to 13 October 2026, the project brings together the artistic research of Secil Yaylali, Antonio Spanedda and Enrico Pettinaroli, three artists who, through different languages and approaches, explore the relationship between the individual, matter, territory and community. Their encounter creates a path in which textiles play a central role, both as a technique and artistic language, and as a metaphor for the interweaving that makes every form of community possible.

Secil Yaylali develops a practice in which textiles become a means of connection and participation. Through materials, gestures and shared processes, her work brings the individual and collective dimensions into relationship, transforming the act of making into an experience capable of involving people and creating new forms of belonging.

Antonio Spanedda, artist and creator of Generative Relational Art, brings to the project a practice based on the idea that an artwork can emerge from the encounter between people, experiences, materials and contexts. From this perspective, textiles are not merely a material, but a relational device: the thread connects, crosses, joins and makes visible a network of relationships. His practice considers art as a form of care, participation, sharing and the creation of a common good. Spanedda’s participation is made possible through the collaboration of Luxurytina srl benefit.

Enrico Pettinaroli contributes to the project with a practice that expands the dialogue between materials, forms and artistic languages, becoming part of the exhibition’s overall fabric and creating another point of encounter between different artistic experiences.

Alongside the artists, Diapsi Vercelli is present through the Brein Artisanal Workshop, where textile practice becomes a tool for expression, inclusion and the enhancement of individual abilities. Their participation introduces a concrete dimension in which manual making is not separate from relationship, but becomes an opportunity for encounter, learning and sharing.

The project is curated by Federica Mingozzi and does not propose a simple succession of artworks, but rather an environment in which the different interventions are conceived to enter into dialogue with one another and with the public. Visitors are invited not simply to observe, but to experience the exhibition as a space to move through, where materials, people and meanings encounter one another.
