CORINALDO PHOTOS 2026
FESTIVAL OF PHOTOGRAPHIC CRITICISM
THOUGHT AND COMMUNITY
Saturday, 10 October 2026
Corinaldo (AN), Italy
Corinaldo Photos, now in its fourth edition, presents a programme dedicated to contemporary photography as a practice of research, dialogue and interpretation of the present. Promoted by the Municipality of Corinaldo and organised by Centrale Fotografia APS, the festival aims to create a space for encounters between photographers, curators, scholars and audiences, exploring photographic languages and the different forms through which photography is developed and critically interpreted.
The 2026 edition focuses on photographic criticism, understood not only as a means of interpreting images, but also as a tool for examining the processes through which photography constructs meaning, interprets reality and develops individual artistic practices.
As part of this programme, on Saturday, 10 October, Corinaldo Photos will host Silvia Camporesi, one of the most recognised figures in contemporary Italian photography, for a talk entitled:
PHOTOGRAPHY AS AN AUTHORIAL JOURNEY
The meeting will explore the relationship between photography, research and the development of a personal visual language, drawing on the artist’s experience and examining her projects, images, books and writing.
The event will also provide an opportunity to present Una foto è una foto è una foto, Silvia Camporesi’s book published by Einaudi, in collaboration with Libreria Ubik in Senigallia.
Through a conversation with the artist, Corinaldo Photos seeks to explore photography as a process of research and intellectual inquiry, focusing not only on the final image, but also on the practices, choices and reflections that contribute to the creation of a photographic work.
The meeting with Silvia Camporesi forms part of Corinaldo Photos’ ongoing commitment to promoting knowledge of contemporary photography and creating opportunities for direct exchange between artists and audiences, encouraging an informed and active engagement with visual culture.
