To mark the ๐๐๐ง๐ Giornata del Contemporaneo โthe major annual event promoted by AMACI – Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums โ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ ๐โ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ ๐.๐.๐. is pleased to present this exhibition project, hosted at the ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐ข ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ exhibition space in Bari.
The project was conceived to offer an artistic exploration of the Mediterraneanโunderstood not merely as a geographical boundary, but as a landscape of the soul, a cultural matrix, and a site of memory and collective identity.
The land, the sea, the light, the historical layering, and the architecture constitute a symbolic and material heritage in constant evolution, capable of engaging the sensibilities and poetic inquiries of contemporary artists. Historically a privileged space for the crossing, cross-pollination, and dialogue of diverse cultures, the Mediterranean basin preservesโboth in its landscape and in the identities of its peoplesโthe marks of an unbroken, multifaceted exchange.
The opening event will be enhanced by a group performance rooted in the primal and the deep connection to the earth characteristic of folk dance traditions.

A dance performance by the folk dance troupe of the ๐๐๐ โ๐โ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ ๐๐ข ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐จ๐ซ๐”.
The performance draws upon the legend of the *masciare*โmagical figures from Southern Italian folkloreโand the myth of the *Taranta*, the spider whose symbolic bite triggers a psychic delirium; this state manifests as an inner chaos that translates into a visceral desire for freedom and self-expression.
