On the occasion of the AMACI Contemporary Art Day, artist Gino Donvito opens the doors of his atelier in the Apulian countryside for a special one-week event, from October 10 to October 17, 2026. “STUDIO VISIT – Immaginifica” invites visitors to step into a living sanctuary where art is experienced, created, and deeply connected with the surrounding landscape.
During this open studio, Donvito will unveil his new monumental masterpiece for the first time: “Codice del futuro” (150×150 cm, mixed media on birch wood).
The work stems from a profound artistic reflection: “I always held an ancient idea, almost a comforting wish, that led me to look up at the sky waiting for someone to arrive from the stars to fix things, bringing salvation or miraculous technology. But the real revolution, I later understood, does not arrive with the clamor of a spaceship: it arrives in silence. It comes in the form of an origin. This is THE SEED. A seed arrived from the Cosmos. I imagined this interstellar traveler crossing the void and light of galaxies not to invade, but to take root. It carries no weapons or complex instructions: it brings living, vital energy. The concept is deeply powerful and goes beyond sci-fi: a seed holds a primordial force no technology can match. It carries within itself the code of the future, the sense of growth, the miraculous ability to turn light and earth into life. A seed from space blooming on Earth is the ultimate symbol of hope and universal interconnection. It reminds me that we are made of the same matter as the stars, and that the healing of our planet begins with the most sacred things.”
Along with this focal artwork, guests will have the opportunity to explore his latest paintings and recent fine art lithographs in an informal, welcoming environment.
