Starting with an observation of Arnaldo Pomodoro’s work Sasso (1982), participants will be invited to creatively explore the relationship between material, form, and space.
Starting with a simple piece of cardstock and using scraps and fragments of cardboard provided by the staff, each participant will construct their own “stone”: a three-dimensional form that, through cuts, overlays, interlocking pieces, and assemblages, can develop and expand into space.
The workshop offers a playful and experimental approach to sculpture, inviting participants to transform an everyday material into a new and personal form. As in Pomodoro’s works, the surface thus becomes a starting point for creating marks, volumes, and openings, giving rise to a small sculpture to be viewed from different angles.
