NITA’s current exhibition Y2K (Youth 2 K1II) recreates the stereotypical teenage bedroom and its aesthetic: a bubble that appears intimate, safe, and sacred. But what lies behind the walls covered with Britney Spears posters, the makeup, the lollipop-flavored perfumes, and the Hello Kitty pillows? Are teenagers the ones who decide what to desire, love, and be?
