A Free Guided Tour and Workshop for Families with Children Aged 6–10 at the Museo del Novecento
To mark Contemporary Art Day on 10 October, promoted by AMACI – Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, the Museo del Novecento is offering a free guided tour and workshop for families with children aged 6–10. The activity explores the new Focus dedicated to Enrico Castellani.
Activity description
Can a rhythm become a surface? Can a surface be sung?
We’ll explore these questions through the works on display, discovering the relationship between gesture, material, rhythm, light and space.
In the workshop, paper surfaces become materials to fold, press, roll and transform, following rhythms suggested by the voice or sounds made with the body. Each gesture will leave a mark, a raised shape or a shadow on the paper.
The different surfaces will then be brought together to create a large collective visual score to observe, take apart, reassemble and even… play again!
Booking and participation
This activity is free, but every participant, adult and child, must book a place.
Each child may be accompanied by one adult only. Places are limited, so please book only if you intend to attend. If you can no longer come, please cancel your booking.
