Duccio Dogheria, director of the Archivio del ’900, presents the archives of two iconic figures of the underground art scene of the 1980s and 1990s: Piermario Ciani and Gianluca Lerici—aka Prof. Bad Trip—twenty years after their passing.
Blending graphics and music, self-published works, and experiments across various media—from stickers to T-shirts, from xerography to playing cards—both artists, who were friends in real life, created new possible worlds, straddling the lines between play, irony, rebellion, and dystopia.
The event will conclude with two world premiere screenings:
“Trax. The Lost Film” (1981–1982), 11’, by Piermario Ciani, a short film shot in 8mm color and rediscovered in the artist’s archive;
“In the Studio of Gianluca Lerici, aka Professor Bad Trip”, 2003–2004, 12’49’’, by Loïc Sturani, a video interview with animations.
