«SYNTHETIC BODIES», curated by Chiara Canali, is a group show that brings together the works of eight international artists who explore the transformation of the body in the age of artificial intelligence, simulation, and synthetic identities.
The invited artits are: Boris Eldagsen, Silvio Giordano, Hariel, Kamilia Kard, Andrea Meregalli, Eleonora Roaro, Vandalo Ruins, Andrew Wharton.
The body is no longer a stable entity: it has become a fluid ecosystem of data, images, algorithms, and projections—a territory in constant rewriting, where memory, mutation, and representation are continuously redefined.
Through practices ranging from generative video and 3D-printed sculpture to experimental cinema and AI-based conversational systems, the exhibition explores how new technologies do not merely depict the body, but intervene directly in its ontological structure: hybridizing it, mutating it, archiving it, and transforming it into a dataset, a myth, a mirror.
The bodies that emerge throughout the exhibition no longer belong exclusively to the biological realm; they appear as hybrid organisms, speculative constructions, avatars, simulations, and synthetic identities.
The works on display present a contemporary body that is simultaneously flesh and code, historical memory and algorithmic projection—a synthetic body that reveals how our very understanding of identity has always been a cultural construction.
