On the occasion of the Giornata del Contemporaneo AMACI, the artist’s new studio opens to the public, offering an opportunity to enter a space normally dedicated to research and production, encounter the works in the place where they originate, and gain insight into the processes through which they take shape.
The studio is conceived as an open space, where painting, drawing and sculpture coexist and interact through a continuous passage between techniques, materials and languages. The works emerge through layers, marks, erasures, traces and transformations of matter, often retaining visible evidence of their own making.
Drawing occupies a central position within this research: a space for elaboration, intuition and experimentation, but also an autonomous field in which ideas can emerge before taking on other forms. Painting and sculpture share this process-oriented dimension, in which each work can become the starting point for, or transformation of, another.
Visiting the studio means entering the place where the work is made: encountering completed works alongside works in progress, materials, studies and layers, and gaining a closer understanding of an artistic practice developed over time.
The studio visit thus becomes an opportunity to meet the artist and her work directly: a space for looking, asking questions, sharing thoughts and approaching contemporary art through the tangible experience of artistic research.
