Patrizia Mussa, THEATRICALITY. Second Act

THE GRAND TOUR OF WONDER STOPS IN BORMIO

At the Meublé Sertorelli Reit the Second Act of Theatricality. Architectures for the wonder of Patrizia Mussa.

After a first appearance in Bormio on the occasion of the XXV Olympic Winter Games Milan-Cortina 2026, Teatralità. Architecture for the Wonder of Patrizia Mussa is renewed with a Second Act and returns to the Meublé Sertorelli Reit.

For several years, Patrizia Mussa has been taking a solo Grand Tour across Italy, exploring some of the most extraordinary theaters and the architecture of princely palaces: places where art, architecture, and music have helped build a fundamental part of Italy’s cultural heritage over the centuries. A heritage that the artist not only documents, but interprets through a contemporary vision.

In addition to photography, Mussa also underwent a patient manual coloring procedure with pastels and watercolors, performed directly on the print. The artist’s gesture attenuates the documentary precision of the image and introduces a dimension of memory, atmosphere, and vision: light becomes matter, color atmosphere, architecture transforms.

Theatricality. Architecture for Wonder has been presented at major Italian and international venues, including the Royal Palace in Milan and the Hôtel de Galliffet, home to the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris.

The new stop is in Bormio, the historic “Magnifica Terra”, where nature, culture and beauty have coexisted for centuries. The project is being welcomed by the Hotel Meublé Sertorelli Reit, a charming little hotel in the historic center that, since its opening, has recognized how the intersection of art and hospitality could enrich the hospitality experience, choosing to dedicate its spaces to a program of photography exhibitions and contemporary art projects conceived and curated by Paola Sosio Contemporary Art Milan.
