Tiziana Rinaldi Giacometti was born in Rome in 1981. In 2013 she received her master’s degree in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where she was a laboratory assistant and later a master’s degree of the subject. In 2017 he collaborated as an assistant to Walid Raad for the Volume Foundation.
Painting is the starting point of a research that over time opens up to installation, sculpture, video art, performance and street art. The different languages intertwine and are chosen in relation to the idea, the context and the place where the work takes shape. At the center of his research is the human figure, observed in the individual and collective dimension, through themes such as identity, perception and the passage of time. Images, matter, words and environment enter into a relationship, involving the viewer in the construction of the meaning of the work.
His exhibition path includes personal and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Among the personal: Disconnected Dreams. Suspended souls, edited by M. Castelnuovo (Rome, 2014); Percezioni di Vita, Officine Farneto, Rome, edited by M. Castelnuovo and M. Hops (2016); Blue Underwater. The flow of time and the perception of life, edited by M. Castelnuovo (Rome, 2016). He has participated in exhibitions at Syart Festival, Villa Fiorentino, Sorrento; BACCgallery, Frascati; Vernice Art Fair, Forlì; Museo d’Arte dello Splendore, Giulianova; MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome; Festarte, Rome; International Exhibition of Artistic Creation, Warsaw; Tiny Biennale, Rome and Istanbul Art Fair. In 2023 she was selected among contemporary Italian artists to represent Italy at the London Biennale. In 2026 he is a finalist for the Mestre di Pittura Award at MUVEC – House of Contemporaneity, Venice.
Among the main awards, in 2008 he was a finalist for the National Arts Prize and in 2012 for the Catel Prize. In 2013 he won the Limen Art International Prize, in the Promises – Young Italian Artists section. The winning work is part of the collection of the Chamber of Commerce of Vibo Valentia and is now preserved at the Limen Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2018 she was selected among the hundred semifinalists of the Arte Cairo Editore Award and won the Lazio regional final of Martelive and the special section Street Art for Rights for the International Women’s House of Rome.
He has carried out street art interventions at the women’s prison of Rebibbia, the MAAM of Rome, the Municipal Library of Ladispoli, Cerveteri and Castelsilano. His works are present in public collections, including the International Women’s House of Rome, the Pistoletto Foundation of Biella, the Aggregative-Educational Center of the Municipality of Parma and the Limen Museum of Contemporary Art in Vibo Valentia.
His works have been published in catalogs and magazines of contemporary art, including the Atlas of Contemporary Art De Agostini. He currently works in his own studio and collaborates with two galleries
