Filia

Traditions are not immutable legacies but rather cultural practices constructed over time; they can be “reinvented” to consolidate national identity and ideology, or even to become objects of consumption. This is the concept behind the “Filia” project, developed by young artist Sara Lepore, which is being presented as part of Giornata del Contemporaneo, themed “Geografie della contemporaneità” (Geographies of the Contemporary), during a talk scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 5:00 PM at Palazzo Santa Margherita in Modena.
