On the occasion of the Contemporary Art Day, on Saturday, October 10, admission to Casa Cavazzini – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Udine – will be free for all visitors all day long.

A special opportunity to explore the museum’s permanent collections and to admire up close the FRIAM Collection (Friuli Arts and Monuments), a major core of the city’s museum heritage, on view for a limited time before a new display rotation.

The FRIAM Collection
Established in the aftermath of the 1976 Friuli earthquake through an extraordinary wave of international solidarity led by an American committee of artists, the FRIAM Collection gathers key works by leading figures of 1960s and 1970s American art. The collection bears witness to a unique moment of international cultural closeness and highlights the deep bond between the city of Udine and overseas artistic avant-gardes.
