Conflicts/Identità

For the Twenty-Second Contemporary Art Day, the Trebisonda Center for Contemporary Art is offering a guided tour of the exhibition Conflicts/Identità.
The project brings together the works of four artists—two from Taiwan and two from Italy—who represent diverse cultural traditions and concerns in their respective work. The two Taiwanese artists, Annie Hsio-Ching Wang and Karen Hui-Lo, explore themes of female identity and family conflict from a postmodern perspective. Frank Dituri and Mauro Manetti, meanwhile, work towards an expression that might lead to transcendence—something they believe is generally absent from contemporary art.
