CHEW AND SPIT

An open studio dedicated to the cult of plants, where the works of Maura Tacchinardi and Domenico Laterza come together. On one side, INCOLTO, a wild and residual state of mind; on the other, MAMBEAR, the coca leaf, a master plant of Colombian tradition.
INCOLTO and MAMBEAR both emerge from meditative repetition and the slow, constant metabolization of plant teachings. To do so, the artists put their own bodies into play and place themselves at the service of the plants: they chew, spit, select, and return on paper only what is essential, separating the precious from the superfluous.
