A journey designed to trace the origins of Guerrino Bardeggia’s distinctive style. Through rarely exhibited works dating mostly from the 1970s, visitors will be able to retrace the artist’s early years, sensing the emergence of that language which, from the early 1980s onwards, would become his most authentic and recognisable form of expression. In this way, within the rooms of Palazzo Tani, these youthful works will enter into dialogue with several major painting cycles from his maturity, now permanently housed at the Piccolomuseo, offering for the first time a complete reading of Bardeggia’s artistic evolution across more than half a century. It is an opportunity to understand how the intuitions, marks and atmospheres present in his early works found full expression in the great works of his maturity.
