Antonio Gioioso “Maluca”_Studio d’Artista

I am a self-taught visual artist and inventor from Naples, born in 1975. Eschewing a traditional academic path, I have honed my artistic skills through hands-on experience and experimentation.
Today, I create innovative LightBoxes, backlit artworks that utilize the “LightReveals” method, which I patented in 2017. By exploring the possibilities offered by technology, these works interact with light to generate unique, evocative settings, delivering immersive and engaging visual experiences.
For me, painting is an instinctive realm. When I start a piece, I never know what the final result will be; it is a process of constant discovery. My artistic exploration focuses on capturing the expressiveness of the human face and the beauty of nature.
My work draws inspiration from facial expression, the beauty of nature, and the times we live in, culminating in the element of surprise found in my LightBoxes. An eternal “Peter Punk” at heart, I have also developed a passion for photography and digital graphic design over the years. And, of course, music is an essential part of it all…
