A ball of hope

I often try to imagine what a woman might feel during her desperate migratory journey—cast into another world, my own.
I wove a dress with her in mind, using a strand of rope—a strand of hope.
I asked a friend—a sister whose bond is indelible—if she would wear this heavy garment across the landscapes of our land and artistically step into the shoes of women from distant worlds who come to us, driven by a desperate gamble of hope.
