The exhibition The Place of Meeting, the Distance That Unites brings together a selection of works created over the years. It is a journey that originates primarily in figurative painting—featuring images of animals, trees, and flowers—and expands over time into increasingly abstract studies and experiments.
Acrylic, mixed media, oil, monotype, inks, and earth pigments are the tools through which this exploration takes shape. These diverse techniques and materials do not constitute separate languages; rather, they offer different ways of listening to and connecting with what I am seeking. Each one leads me—through varying rhythms, gestures, and approaches—toward something I do not yet know, something that can emerge only from the encounter between matter, intuition, and the gaze.
At the heart of the exhibition lies the idea that every living form holds a presence, and that art can make visible the subtle tension created in the encounter: between living beings, between forms, between color and matter, and between what we see and what we perceive.
Through lines, colors, marks, and matter, I invite the viewer to slow their gaze, to listen to what often remains in the background, and to recognize the profound sense of belonging that binds us to nature—without erasing the uniqueness and unrepeatability of each being.
I do not paint to represent reality as it appears, but to try to make its invisible forces perceptible—the connections, transformations, inner shifts, and the continuous dialogue between human beings and the living world.
For me, painting is the place where relationships can become visible. Ultimately, this is the essence of the exhibition: to create a space where it is possible to slow down, observe, listen, and perceive—allowing oneself a richer sense of time, perhaps one closer to our profound experience of things.
A time to pause before the images, letting them—even before words do—spark an encounter.
The place of a meeting, the distance that unites
Every encounter involves a movement towards something, an impact that leaves traces. Art makes visible that subtle tension created within the relationship.
