The exhibition is a sort of time machine. A montage device. A perceptual environment that organizes time through space and space through the movement of the body. Each room functions as a sequence where the works interact like images in a film edit: they chase one another, illuminate one another, and the visitor/viewer never occupies a fixed position but is compelled to continually negotiate distance and proximity, immersion and detachment, contemplation and passage. The journey is never chronological but emotional, discontinuous, and layered.
Over 170 works from the Collection build the set—the film’s stage—into which the works of six contemporary artists are woven: Emanuele Becheri, Chiara Bettazzi, Giusy Calia, Daniela De Lorenzo, Silvia Giambrone, and Davide Rivalta.
