Open Studio: Mixed Media, Process & Demonstration
Step inside my studio and discover the processes behind my mixed-media practice. This informal Open Studio will showcase a selection of recent works combining photography, hand-applied photographic transfer, collage, printmaking, painting and gestural mark-making.
Visitors can explore how photographic images are transformed through layering, fragmentation and experimentation, moving between recognisable imagery and abstraction. A live demonstration will offer an insight into the hands-on techniques and materials at the heart of my practice, including photographic transfer, collage and mixed-media layering.
The demonstration will reveal how a work evolves from an initial photographic image through the accumulation of materials, textures, marks and colour. Rather than following a fixed process, I work intuitively, allowing each layer to influence the next and embracing chance, experimentation and transformation.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions, discuss the creative process and discover how photography can become a starting point for exploring ideas of place, memory, material and change.
Come and experience the studio as a space of experimentation, where images, materials and ideas continually evolve. Booking essential.
