A.C.Spaziogem was founded as a non-profit cultural arts association and is a photography and visual arts studio directed by Elisabetta Accoto and Marco Serri, active since 2019. It is a space for research and exchange, where artistic practice intertwines with the curation of exhibitions, events and projects shared with other artists and with the public.
The studio sees photography as a language in dialogue with the other visual arts, from painting to installation, from light to matter. Its images arise from an attentive eye for detail and process and are brought to a scale that allows them to be observed up close. Recurring themes include the relationship between human beings and nature, waste and recovery, memory and transformation.
The studio has a spacious photographic set for photo shoots and fashion events. This is where Marco Serri works, a photographer specializing in fashion and dance since 1980. The set is a versatile space for photo sessions, campaigns and creative sets, where light, movement and staging meet the studio’s artistic research.
Since 2020, A.C.Spaziogem has combined its research with intensive curatorial activity: solo and group exhibitions, award exhibitions, participation in Rome Art Week and Rome Fashion Path, and collaborations with artists, designers and cultural organizations in the area. It also offers workshops and mosaic courses, to learn by doing and to connect those who create with those who look, with Elisabetta Accoto, active and specialized in mosaic and visual arts since 1996.
On the occasion of Giornata del Contemporaneo (Contemporary Art Day), on Saturday 10 October, the studio opens its doors online. A selection of photographic and visual arts works can be viewed with free access, no booking required, at any time of the day, to step into the images at a calm pace and linger over the details. The studio will not be physically open: the visit takes place entirely online, through the website. https://www.spaziogem.it
