Can we love someone or something we don’t know?
This is the question I ask, and when the beings we don’t know are trees, then the question requires a collective answer.
The tile of this artwork is Sì, LoVoglio (Yes I want it)
Living for year in close contact with the river, in Parco Oglio Nord (North Oglio Park), I experience its beeaty as well as its vulnerability, at the same time being aware of its value for “life”.
My medium is art—specifically, art as a poetic act that is also a political gesture. I therefore choose to bring this to the immediate environment that is essential to me.
This project is being promoted by two local associations: MU.MA-collettivo, based in Capriolo, and Lov_Oglio, based in Palazzolo sull’Oglio.
The subject of the activity will be trees—the trees that inhabit the park. Essentially, it is a two-hour workshop per class.
An exploration of the essence of being a tree, combined with an artistic frottage experience using collected pieces of bark.
Thought and gesture.
Thought sparked by storytelling; artistic gesture inviting us to participate in the creative act.
The resulting works will be assembled and exhibited.
