X SEMPRE is an archive of two hundred vernacular love writings found in the public space in Italy between August 2023 and June 2026.
Associating aspects of the romance novel and epigraphic research, the book focuses on minor forms of writings and unfolds as a collective love story. It gathers romantic, sexual, vulgar, poetic or political messages referring to the notion of love and considers them from contextual, semantic and graphic points of view. It is composed of photographs, graphic extractions, transcriptions, annotations, topical indexes and texts by the author.
Recording the trace of individual yet somehow universal love writings in the public space and compiling an archive, the book provides a sample of the typo-cartographical landscape of a vibrant and passionate society.
