Omero Museum – Mole Vanvitelliana, Ancona
On the occasion of the 22nd Contemporary Art Day, the Omero Museum presents a multisensory guided tour exploring the profound relationship between the sea and human beings.
At the heart of the experience is RMN by Alberto Tadiello, the winning work of the first edition of the Omero Prize. The artwork is connected to the National Tide Gauge Network: data on tidal variations recorded by the Ancona station are transformed into sound frequencies that can be perceived through the body.
A journey into contemporary art to rediscover the sea through art, the senses and the body.
An even more meaningful experience in the Mole Vanvitelliana, an artificial island surrounded by the waters of Ancona’s harbour: a place where the presence of the sea is an integral part of the city’s history and identity.
The activity is for adults and families with children aged 10 and over
The activity is free of charge, but advance booking is required.
