It’s true, Vero and Klaus?

On Saturday 10 October 2026, to mark the 22nd Contemporary Art Day organised by AMACI, Museo Teo presents *È Vero, Klaus?*, a tribute to the photographer Klaus Guldbrandsen, who passed away last August.
As part of the Opera Unica series, Museo Teo presents a work resulting from the collaboration between Klaus Guldbrandsen (1951–2026) and Véronique Champollion.
The manual intervention carried out by Véronique restores the original magic of Klaus’s photograph, which had been compromised by a printer’s lack of creative freedom.
Manual intervention on a photograph has a complex history and illustrious precedents, ranging from photo retouching (think of the portrait of Vittorio Emanuele II cited by Ugo Mulas in his *Verifiche*) to the creative colouring by Schifano and Warhol, or Rainer’s interventions on his own image. In this case, manual retouching becomes a conceptual creative act that further enriches a work of art.
