On Saturday 10 October 2026, to marking the 22nd Contemporary Art Day, organised by AMACI – the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, Osti Ricami Alta Moda will open the doors of its Atelier to the public for a free event and workshop.
A space normally dedicated to the design and creation of embroidery will, for the occasion, become a place for meeting and dialogue, where visitors can share, explore and interpret embroidery from a contemporary perspective.
This exploration will feature a selection of works on display in the atelier by artists such as Tommaso Fraschini, Paola Grott, Kenta Koga and Luisa Pelosio, which clearly demonstrate the medium of embroidery’s capacity for continuous transformation.
Through different threads, colours and materials, visitors are invited to enjoy the harmony of slow, deliberate movements, our capacity to listen, and the potential rediscovery of an emotion.
Anyone who wishes to do so can experience the magic of embroidery by creating a small personal project, which they can embroider onto fabric provided by Osti Ricami Alta Moda or onto fabric they bring with them; no prior experience is required for this activity, and children aged 10 and over are also welcome to take part.
Free event/workshop, booking required.
To take part, please choose one of the two time slots and book by 4.00 pm on Friday 9 October 2026 by writing to info@ostiricami.com or via the Instagram page @ostiricamialtamoda. Places are limited.
