Verein Düsseldorf Palermo e. V. celebrates a double anniversary: 10 years of twinning between the two cities and the tenth anniversary of Haus der Kunst. To mark the occasion, the exhibition Quadrat brings together 20 artists (10 German and 10 Italian) from different generations. The project takes the square as its point of departure, exploring its multiple forms and interpretations: from the geometric figure to the painting, from the square metre to the cubic metre, through different media, materials, and artistic languages.
