“Tangamente” Group Exhibition. An exhibition paying tribute to the Rio de la Plata tango phenomenon through painting, drawing, collage, and photography.
Dedicated to Diego.
Curated by Monica Nucera Mantelli Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
“…my second-to-last whisky will remain undrunk; my death, in love, will arrive—*tangamente* [in the spirit of tango].”
Taking this emblematic verse from the tango lyrics of “Balada para mi Muerte”—written by Horacio Ferrer and set to music by Astor Piazzolla in 1968—as a starting point, the independent curator from Turin (an expert on the subject of tango) presents a tragicomic journey through works centered on the dance, featuring literary, historical, and social connections spanning Sky, Earth, Sea, and Fire. Paintings: Karina Chechik, Dovilio Brero, Mario Giammarinaro, Natale Cannelli. Also featuring works by Claudio Cullino, Silvio Vincenti, Celiant Tolmami, and Sergio Fantoni. Photography: Ermanno Crotto, Daniele d’Antonio, Luciano Gallino, Marco Borrelli, Sergio Giunipero, Andrea Caliendo, Sabrina Scanu. Art Design: Diego Maria Gugliermetto Poetry and *Letras* (song lyrics) by Jorge Luis Borges and other Argentine and Uruguayan authors.
Exhibition hosted at the independent space (a small, museum-like nook) “Casa de Tango, Arte y Cultura” at Via Littardi 17, Imperia. Guided tour with the curator at 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 10. Free admission with voluntary contribution.
This initiative is part of the Littardi’s Art platform.
Located at Via Tommaso Littardi 17 in Imperia, *Casa de Tango Arte y Cultura* is an independent space conceived by curator Monica Nucera Mantelli and Ippolito Ostellino (of the digital platform “La Natura torna ad Arte”). It hosts multidisciplinary events centered on Rioplatense tango, employing diverse approaches that intersect the cultural phenomenon—spanning Argentina, Uruguay, and Europe—with other art forms. Through these interdisciplinary initiatives, the space aims to foster personal growth, awareness, and education. It serves as an *agora*—a gathering place—open to reflection on contemporary living, blending art, culture, community engagement, and the nature of the local setting. Note: Free parking (3 hours) is available next to the Tamoil gas station at Via Littardi 56 (approximately 100 meters from the venue).
