Living libraries

Human Libraries are a project that originated in Copenhagen in 1993 and has been gradually spreading across the world. The idea, which is similar to that of Living Libraries, is to bring people face to face with their own prejudices by meeting and listening directly to those who are usually the victims of such prejudices. Francesco Falaschi (David di Donatello Award-winning director) and Alessio Brizzi (screenwriter) set out to document the fascinating Human Library initiatives in Tuscany, particularly in the Maremma and the province of Grosseto, across small and medium-sized towns and decidedly remote areas, including Monte Amiata.
