The Vineyard of the Third Paradise

On the morning and early afternoon of October 10th, the artistic vineyard—designed in the shape of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s *Third Paradise*—will be open to the public free of charge, by reservation. The experience includes a guided walk with an art historian, followed by a tasting of Villa Agreste wines.
The *Third Paradise* Vineyard was created by Villa Agreste to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ostuni DOC designation (featuring the rare grape varieties that form the foundation of the winery’s project) in 2022. It was inaugurated on June 25th of last year—in collaboration with the Pistoletto Cittadellarte Foundation—to mark Maestro Pistoletto’s 93rd birthday.
The outer sections of the three circles are planted with the Ottavianello grape, the signature variety of the Ostuni area; the two outer circles contain Cigliola Bianca—an extremely rare variety—while the central circle features Marchione.
The vineyard represents the winery’s commitment to cultivating the land with respect for nature.

The “Vigna del Terzo Paradiso” (Third Paradise Vineyard) was projected by the Villa Agreste estate to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ostuni DOC designation in 2022; it was inaugurated on June 25th of last year—in collaboration with the Pistoletto Cittadellarte Foundation—to mark Maestro Pistoletto’s 93rd birthday.
