“Lissone Design Award” returns with an exhibition titled “How to Live?”, curated by Stefano Raimondi, at the MAC, with the opening on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM, on the occasion of the Giornata del Contemporaneo promoted by AMACI.
This new edition of the Prize explores how our homes are changing — along with the objects that inhabit them and the habits we project onto them — amid automation, housing precarity, and new emotional balances. The exhibition continues the path begun with the previous Design Prize “Abitare la città” (“Inhabiting the City”), shifting the focus from urban space to domestic space and proposing design not as a closed discipline, but as a field of relationships between art, knowledge, and diverse practices.
The exhibition brings together more than 40 works by 20 international artists: John Armleder, Lynda Benglis, Marco Cingolani, Wim Delvoye, Gelitin, John Giorno, Christian Holstad, Bryan Hunt, Bertrand Lavier, Ryan Mendoza, Jonathan Monk, Luigi Ontani, Jack Pierson, Paola Pivi, Riccardo Previdi, Wilfredo Prieto, Rob Pruitt, Erik Saglia, Sam Samore, and John Torreano.
A jury composed of Elsa Barbieri (Director of the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Cavalese), Valentina Gervasoni (curator at GAMeC – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo), and the Director of the MAC will select the works to be acquired into the permanent collection of the Museo di Lissone.
