Resulting from the collaboration between MUSE and Mart, the ‘Water Flow’ exhibition explores the topic of water through a dialogue between art and science. Part of the S+T+ARTS Aqua Motion programme, the exhibition reflects on natural systems, resource management and the relationship between humanity and the environment.
Drawing on scientific data, the works by artists forge an osmotic connection with water and engage in dialogue with a selection of modern and contemporary works from Mart’s collection and from major public and private collections.
The exhibition offers a cross-cutting perspective on the relationship between art, nature and knowledge, demonstrating how artists from different eras have interpreted and depicted human communities’ relationship with water.
