Mavi Ferrando Studio Visit

Visitors can explore the various rooms of the artist’s studio-home—located in a historic building in the town center—including the workshop and the rooms displaying works from the 1970s, recent pieces, and painted wood works from the 1980s. A tour of the works distributed throughout the living quarters can also be arranged.
Mavi Ferrando was born in Genoa in 1945. She graduated from the Nicolò Barabino Art High School in Genoa in 1963 and earned a degree in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1969. After exploring figurative, Pop, and *Art Informel* styles during the 1960s, she began focusing on the forms and perception of objects in the early 1970s, eventually developing a distinctive, provocative visual language that often borders on the absurd.
Her first solo exhibition took place in 1975. Since then, she has participated in countless solo and group exhibitions. Her most recent solo exhibition, titled “Multiforma,” was held in March at the Seconda Scuderia of the Castello di Vigevano.
