“Museums, Gender and Queerness” is the first Italian essay entirely devoted to the relationship between queerness and museology. The book explores the role of museums and cultural institutions in interpreting social changes related to gender, sexuality, and relationships, offering a reflection on the practices through which a queer perspective can find a place within cultural institutions.
Through theoretical and methodological contributions, the book opens up a discussion on the responsibility of cultural institutions to engage in contemporary debates on human rights, representation, and social justice.
