Alessandro Roma: The Skin of the Landscape

On the occasion of the 22nd edition of Contemporary Day, MACTE hosts, for one day, the artistic practice of Alessandro Roma. It will be possible to discover the video La Pelle del Paesaggio, a spatial activation of painting through painted garments and the possibilities of movement of nature in symbiosis with the human body. Mountain, River, Tree, Sun and Root are the five chapters that structure a process of transformation, presenting the landscape as a living organism, in constant mutation. The music for the video was composed by Guillermo Lago for saxophone and performed by Caroline Halleck and the Groupe Vocale Viriditas choir. In the museum’s rotunda, it will also be possible to admire five kimono artworks painted by Alessandro Roma, which will be brought to life during a performance by Molise-based dancer Alisia Ialicicco, at 6:30 pm.
This will be followed by an exchange of reflections open to the public, with artist Alessandro Roma and dancer Alisia Ialicicco, moderated by Caterina Riva, Director of MACTE.
